Taurean Global Properties is based in Canmore, Alberta and is incorporated under Alberta law.

With a solid background and knowledge of real estate as it’s been shaped over the last few decades, the Taurean team sees a couple of shining beacons in this chaos of a market: Multi-family housing and farmland development in emerging nations See our other LP’s website for a different investment opportunity regarding the latter.

In developing this Limited Partnership, we are putting in place a platform upon which to build considerable wealth. By getting in early investors will join a small, motivated, dedicated team, and be the first to reap the rewards. It is worth mentioning that the General Partners at Taurean have created this investment vehicle as the best possible place to nurture their own wealth. The ability of this business to quickly and sustainably create wealth through pooled resources means that much of the General Partners’ assets will be earmarked for future participation.
Executive Team

Douglas Thiessen Douglas Thiessen – Chief Executive Officer
Doug Thiessen was with Prestigious Properties where he was responsible (together with his partner Thomas Beyer) for the purchase of 13 properties in Canada and the United States, and the sale of six properties, all at a substantial profit. Every property that he was responsible for was operating profitably within a year of purchase and no investor ever lost money during that time. Douglas has been involved in financial services since 1984. He began his career with the Investors Group where he was promoted to youngest Division Manager in the history of the company at that time. He then moved on to pursue his goals as an entrepreneur in corporate finance and transportation. He has been responsible for raising well over $100 million (US) in debt and equity financing over the last 15 years, and now concentrates his energy on real estate as it enables him to take full advantage of his financial analytical skills in a stable and relatively predictable market.
Kerry Phillpott Kerry Phillpott – VP Business Development Kerry brings more than 12 years of international business and sales channel development experience to Taurean plus a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He is well versed in not only sales and marketing but also in finance, operations, strategy, and overall business management from 8 years of owning and operating a successful company in the computer hardware space. Prior to joining Taurean, he also consulted with hardware and software companies to help build their sales infrastructure.

Kerry is currently focused on developing the investor network and expanding the sales channel for Taurean. This will involve developing the investor relations group, developing and implementing marketing plans as well as organizing the sales efforts and business development team. Kerry is a key asset in establishing strategic and long term alliances with our ever growing investor community.
Ashish Garg

Ashish Garg – VP Asset ManagementAshish completed his Bachelors degree in Commerce at the University of Alberta with a specialization in operations management. With 2 years of experience, he then parlayed his knowledge of structured analysis and management into a real estate enterprise, where he was overseeing all aspects of over 78 residential apartment units. In 2007, Ashish returned to university to complete his Master in Real Estate Development and Management at the prestigious New York University.

Ashish joined the Taurean Global team in the Spring of 2008 as VP of Asset Management and Acquisitions. His strength of analysis, targeted education and hands-on experience in value-add real estate investments makes him a celebrated addition to the Taurean Global team.

 

 

Track Record
Douglas Thiessen and Ashish Garg, as the former Managing Partners of Prestigious Properties and 1229013 Alberta, respectively, were instrumental in achieving spectacular returns in a booming housing market driven by cheap debt. In this market many individuals chose to become homeowners for the first time leading them out of the rental pool. Overall operational excellence and investment returns, despite customers' shifting propensity to buy vs. rent, made the assets under Doug and Ashish's management very attractive to renters and asset buyers alike.
