Douglas Thiessen

President, Director and CEO

Douglas attended University of Winnipeg from 1978 to 1980 and again from 1989 until 1992. He joined the Investors Group in 1984, where he was effective in introducing several innovative financial products as well as managing a sales staff of 13. At the time he was one of the company's youngest Division Managers in its history. Since leaving the Investors Group, he has been active as an entrepreneur in the transportation industry and as a financial and corporate finance consultant. He has been instrumental in raising a significant amount of capital in the equity and debt markets in both Canada and the United States. Douglas joined Prestigious Properties Group in 2004, initially as a consultant and then as COO and Managing Partner. Under his guidance Prestigious Properties grew eight-fold in less than four years, increasing the investor base from 20 to well over 250 and the gross assets from just over $10M to well over $75M. He is now pursuing his vision with Taurean Global Properties.

Ashish Garg

Vice President and Director

Ashish completed his Bachelors degree in Commerce at the University of Alberta with a specialization in operations management. With 2 years of experience, he then parlayed his knowledge of structured analysis and management into a real estate enterprise, where he was overseeing all aspects of over 78 residential apartment units. In 2007, Ashish returned to university to complete his Master in Real Estate Development and Management at the prestigious New York University.

Ashish joined the Taurean Global team in the Spring of 2008 as VP of Asset Management and Acquisitions. His strength of analysis, targeted education and hands-on experience in value-add real estate investments makes him a celebrated addition to the Taurean Global team.

Kerry Philpott

Vice President, Business Development

Kerry brings more than 12 years of international business and sales channel development experience to Taurean plus a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He is well versed in not only sales and marketing but also in finance, operations, strategy, and overall business management from 8 years of owning and operating a successful company in the computer hardware space. Prior to joining Taurean, he also consulted with hardware and software companies to help build their sales infrastructure.

Kerry is currently focused on increasing and maintaining Taurean's current and future investor community, growing the agent network and generally increasing Taurean's presence. This involves developing the investor relations group, developing and implementing marketing plans as well as organizing the sales efforts and business development team. Kerry is a key asset in establishing strategic and long term alliances with our ever growing investor community.

Alf Kaech

Manager, Operations and Corporate Communication

Alf brings more than 12 years of international experience in corporate development and communications to the Taurean team. He began his professional career at 25 as an Airline pilot for Swissair flying an AirbusA320 around Europe before returning to school to complete his MBA. Following this transition, he has helped large Fortune 100 companies, small startup ventures, and non-profits in various stages of commercialization bring new products and services to market. Alf has become well versed in applying both structure and rigor in process and communications to assist enterprises as they position themselves to be leaders within their sector. In his role at Taurean, Alf oversees the development and management of Taurean's robust corporate communications, compliance and accounting systems and processes required to safeguard our investors' capital.
